Layout & Accessibility
Not fully. The main floor — bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room — is reachable via a ramp with handrails, so it works well for low-mobility or elderly guests who don't need the loft. The loft itself is stairs-only, with a steep climb and low ceilings, and isn't accessible for anyone who can't manage steps.
It sleeps up to 6 across three queen beds, but it's most comfortable with 3–4 adults. Six adults in a tiny home will feel tight — we'd rather you know that going in.
Two queen beds up a fairly steep staircase, with ceilings low enough that most adults will duck or hunch to move around. One bed sits in an open nook overlooking the living room; the other is a bit more tucked away with its own smart TV. Full details and photos are on The Cabin page.
Kids & Families
We recommend the loft for kids who can manage stairs confidently on their own, without needing help. If you're traveling with toddlers or younger kids who'd need assistance on stairs, we'd plan for them to sleep on the main floor instead.
Board games, the deck, and the surrounding forest for supervised exploring. This is a quiet, nature-focused cabin rather than one built around kid-specific amenities like a playset or arcade.
Pets
Yes. There's a flat pet fee of $50/night, with a limit of 2 pets per stay.
Probably not comfortably — the stairs are steep enough that most dogs do better staying on the main floor. Plan on the main-floor bedroom for your pup's sleeping arrangements.
Connectivity & Remote Work
It's genuinely strong — reliable enough for video calls, streaming, or working remotely for a few extra days, not just checking email.
Hochatown's cell coverage can be inconsistent depending on carrier, but our WiFi covers most of what you'd need it for during your stay.
Getting Here & Parking
No — the neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, and nothing is close enough to comfortably walk to. Plan on driving to restaurants, breweries, and the lake.
Gravel, with a circular pull-through layout that makes it easy to get in and out — including with a trailer or boat. It's not steep, though it can develop the occasional pothole or puddle after heavy rain.
Generous — the circular driveway comfortably fits multiple vehicles.
Weather & Amenities
The hot tub is under a covered section of the deck, so rain, snow, or wind won't keep you out of it. Inside, you've got a smart TV, DVD player, board games, and strong WiFi for a slower, cozier day.
No indoor fireplace, but there is an outdoor fire pit for evenings under the stars.
A starter supply of the basics — paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, coffee and filters, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash, and laundry detergent. These are meant to get you started, not necessarily cover a full week — for longer stays, plan to restock as needed.
